I would love to have Barry, but I dont see it happening. First, I think it would take the FULL MLE to get him and I am not sure the Rockets want to committ the full MLE at 4 years for Barry. And second, I am not sure that Barry is a JVG type guy. I mean Pike was a failed experiement here. The best part of Pike's game was his shooting and it went south and thus was useless. Would JVG look at Barry the same way and wonder if his shooting goes south did we waste a bunch of money? Because Barry isnt going to fall back on his defense if his shot goes.

I tend to think JVG values good defense over shooting anyday which is why I think Fisher has the lead in this area.

I think Fisher can be had for 3/4 of the MLE which would leave some money left over for another bench role player. This may be a big factor for the Rockets. Fisher is playoff tested, can hit the outside shot and more importantly to JVG he can play decent defense.

Now, with that stated let me say that I dislike Fisher. I hate his flopping and whinning. So it kills me to say these things but taking a step back, I do realize that his game is a good fit for our system. Ugh! ;)
