Google AI removed robot warfare -- it considers them animals.

Too cool! I want one. Can it run a vacuum cleaner? There are spots our Roomba can’t reach. Our Labradoodle would have “someone” to play with. Groovy!

Do they market this to kingpins, despots, and venture capitalists?

that dog robot didn't actually do anything productive. Yes. Cool. Navigation, big accomplishment. But it still needs to accomplish an intelligent task. If it showed me, "fetch the power drill" or " go hunt dinner", then you got something.

Interesting how the video begins with two gentlemen playing Go. I first heard of the game while reading A Child’s Garden of Grass in 1969, which had just come out. I still have it in a box somewhere in our garage. Heck, maybe it’s worth something. Anyway, the authors declared that if the book did nothing else but introduce the reader to the game of Go, it was worth purchasing.

An avid player of various games at the time, and an equally avid researcher of the book’s subject matter, I immediately began searching for Go. This turned out to be more difficult than I imagined, as Houston seemed empty of Go boards and the black and white stones needed to play. I finally found one, though, and then had to persuade someone to play with me. Playing against myself was driving me crazy. Fortunately, my cousin and I frequently played chess, and when I told him that it was an older game then that classic, more difficult, and better, he laughed sarcastically and said, “Bring it over!” After several dozen games, he admitted that Go was a better game than chess.

Apparently, that makes me a walking, talking AI. Seems fitting.

Xenobots carve traces through a field of particulate matter. These simple robots made of cells exhibit remarkably complex behavior.
