I am a co-owner of my car that I want to sell. However, my uncle who has passed away, is also on the title. Does anyone know how the selling process works in this case? Do I need to re-title the car in my name only? Or can I sell with title as is? His name is first. This is in Harris County.

I believe whether you want to put it in your own name or sell it you will need the death certificate and whoever is the executor of the estate with you at the tax office

If you’re selling it to a dealership just have them file a lost title.
