How to boil crawfish?

I've never seen them at local grocery stores here in Oregon and my co-worker said he's having a crawfish boil fundraiser this weekend so I asked him where he gets them. He said his wife knows a guy that goes out ans catches them and they're live and crawling. So I guess they're still in season?

I've never made it before... but the picture on page 2 made me drool just a little and now I must try. Picking up 10 pounds tomorrow.... and the price is $3 per pound. Is that average?

Usually the season is March'ish - June down here. The $3/lb. is cheap, but then you may be getting scrawny crawfish - who knows? No idea about Oregon crawfish. lol.

Crawfish this time of year will have harder shells & they will be more difficult to peel. They are really out of season right now.
