I suppose "visit" should be defined... like, stay a night there or is just stopping over on a flight considered a "visit"? If the former:

    Texas
    New Mexico
    Oklahoma
    Arkansas
    Missouri
    Louisiana
    Florida
    New York
    California
    Colorado

As you can see, other than New York, I stay in the south. Though I'll be able to add Washington on it next month!

    South Dakota
    Montana
Utah(I had to see just how much it sucked)
    Washington

So 26 + DC. That makes more than one state per year of life. So I should visit them all by the time I'm 45.

And since my mother and I drove to Connecticut from Arkansas, we went through several states on the way, but I don't remember what route we took, and the most we would've stayed in any particular state along the way was one night.

    So, 21, I guess.

I went in alphabetical order remembering a song from the 6th grade that goes through all the states. I only remember visiting 32, which means I haven't yet been to 18. I thought I only had like 10 left to visit. Guess not.

    Alabama
    Alaska
    Arizona
    Arkansas
    California
    Colorado
    Connecticut
    Delaware
    Florida
    Georgia
    Hawaii
    Illinois
    Louisiana
    Maryland
    Massachusetts
    Michigan
    Mississippi
    Missouri
    Nevada
    New Jersey
    New Mexico
    New York
    North Carolina
    Ohio
    Pennsylvania
    Rhode Island
    South Carolina
    Tennessee
    Texas
    Utah
    Virginia
    Washington

Does D.C. count as a bonus point? Because then I have 33 :D

Compared to the countries thread, I have done a lot more travelling in the US than I have abroad - most of the states I have visited were because of my job (like going to seminars or offices in those states):

    Tennessee
    Alabama
    Florida
    Georgia
    Mississippi
    Louisiana
    Texas
    Arkansas
    Kentucky
    North Carolina
    Virginia
    Maryland
    New York
    Ohio
    Illinois
    Arizona
    California
    New Mexico
    Washington, D.C.

Cities - not as many but Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, New York, Cincinnati, Orlando, Birmingham, Atlanta, Arlington, Baltimore, and Phoenix.
