    Offensive ranks under Kubiak:
    21 (Carr)
    15
    13
    10
    2
    9
    16
    29

Improvement every year until schaub injury. And ownership saddling him with a schaub extension.

    Under O'Brien:
    21
    24
    30
    24
    21
    16

Notice how Watson and mortgaging the future barely improved obrien's offense.

So Kubiak with Carr was equivalent to O'Brien with Watson last year and not far behind this year.

    That's pathetic on obrien's part.

There is no way this pathetic offense is 11th and 12th. But should be top 10 anyway.

I hope with time and distance that you will realize that you are not making sense.

How so? This isn't a borderline top ten offense we've been watching the last two years. It's mediocre at best.

I think that's probably ppg or ypg which isn't the way to measure an offense.

    How do you measure offense?

How is your obscure web site more legitimate than points?

Does the league use that in rankings?

You need to take out defensive points for one thing. Also adjustments for starting field position (especially if the defense is constantly causing turnovers in opponent red area and the offense is just kicking field goals) and opponent strength

If you don't think trading multiple high picks for guys about to become FAs isnt mortgaging the future, then you are quite dumb.

Right..as an example, the first 10 points in the Bucs game had nothing to do with the offense.

First its not official. Thanks for showing up. However ill address the rest.

I agree on defensive points. The Texans don't have many defensive points this season. Offense is offense so why are adjusting for those things.

That's some egg heads making arbitrary adjustments to make you think they're smart and read their site.

Does the scoreboard make those adjustments?

Yep. They scored 23 points. But that included one offensive TD, and even that drive started on the TB 42 because the defense forced a fumble. Another field goal was a short drive after an int.

The Texans offense had two long scoring drives the whole game, and both ended in field goals.

Adds up to a mediocre offense

How did the defense score three points? You penalize for having a good defense? These are arbitrary other than defense and special teams points

Then let's at least look at something like offensive TDs. Last year they were 20th. This year they actually managed 11th which to me isn't great for having all that talent

Now O'Brien is good at evaluating talent?

Not when you consider what he gave up for tunsil.

Also stills, duke, Hyde, and scharping are nothing special. But he felt the need to give up significant assets for them. He can't even use duke properly

Did you watch the game? They intercepted a second pass right after the first one was returned for a TD. The offense proceeded to gain 5 whole yards and then settled for a FG. I think most would credit the defense for those three points.
