Kubiak is a better offensive coach
Bill O'Brien is a better head coach

If O'Brien wasn't touted as this offensive genius and QB guru we wouldn't blame this offense on him so much. JUST GET AN OC!

What was O'Brien's before Deshaun came?

well said. we need a capable number 2 received who can play most games. fuller is awesome, but he gets hurt running routes sometimes.

I think having a second wr who can break 1 on 1 coverage opens everything up for us. Howard being out at RT also hurts

They have a very capable #2 in Stills. It seems the offense just needs it to be someone like Fuller.

    9-7
    9-7
    9-7
    1-9
    28-30

Edit: And Kubiak went to the playoffs and won a playoff game with TJ Yates.

... and prime Arian Foster, prime Andre Johnson, prime rookie JJ Watt.

At this point, Kubiak vs. BOB, simply looking at their Texans tenure, is really nothing significantly different.... both got a second lease for something that they didn’t necessarily do (Kubiak when they hired Wade, BOB after the Watson trade and after he turned into a stud).

The question was before Deshaun, not also including after he was injured his rookie season.

And Kubiak beat the Bengals twice with Yates. Not like Yates was the starter all season. He won two games with TJ against the same team.

in my opinion Stills is a average #2 (in this offense atleast) and an amazing #3. Not only does Fuller upgrade our #2 but also allows for an upgrade to #3 (with Stills taking that spot over someone like carter)
It also allows less double teams on Hopkins so really makes our #1 better

With his speed, it is hard to blitz as much since he requires help over the top so that makes the line/qb better

basically he makes everyone better, including bob

My post was in response to the post about Kubiaks record like OBrien was much better without Watson. I have already said OBtien is the better head coach and Kubiak the better offensive mind.

Edit: and Obrien has had prime Deshaun, prime Hopkins, prime Watt, and prime Clowney,

Key phrase, "in this offense". They dont use Stills as much and as well as they could.

That Bengals defense was legit. And they were one score of the Ravens despite Jacobys fumbles.

The Bengals defense was good, 7th in yards and 9th in points. The Texans defense was better, 2nd in yards and 4th in points.

TJ and Foster stats against Cincy in playoffs -

    HOU – T. J. Yates – 9/18, 91 yards, TD
    HOU – Arian Foster – 26 rushes, 157 yards, 2 TD

It was pretty remarkable they were within a score of the Ravens in that game despite Jacoby’s mess and TJ’s performance. Defense was stout.

    HOU – T. J. Yates – 17/35, 184 yards, 3 INT
HOU – Arian Foster – 27 rushes, 132 yards, TD

Prime Watson and prime Hopkins. Watt has been in/out during the Watson era and definitely not his best years. Prime clowney seems laughable... a borderline pro bowler.

Are we doing the Watson era or the Bill OBrien era? Kubiak had young Watt in the great Schaub/Yates/Keenum era.

Prime Clowney was all-pro. And that's not just my opinion.

Schaub/Yates/Keenum era? Come on. It was the Schaub era. If anything say Rosenfals during Kubiak’s first two seasons. Yates started four regular season games in 2011. Keenum only played in the disaster that was 2013 once Schaub pick-six became famous. Fun fact - Yates has started as many regular season games for BOB as he did Kubiak.

You mean 1X 2nd team all pro Clowney with pro bowl appearances? Sounds very similar to (with Texans) 1X 2nd team all pro Mario Williams with multiple pro bowl appearances.

Not sure what you are arguing? Are you arguing Kubiak playoff record vs OBrien playoff record.

Arian was beating. But Kubiaks offense helped a lot. Ask Cook up in Minny about the value of RBs with Kinial.

LOL. That was a joke. This thread is about Kubiak not Schaub. So why are you narrowing it down to the Watson era? It should be the Obrien era. Kubiak never had a QB as good as Watson.

Not sure what your point is. You said prime Clowney was borderline pro bowler. I said borderline all pro. I was right. What does that have to do with Mario?

    I'm done.

    Like I said before:

    Kubiak better offense.
    OBrien better head coach.
