When I had a job, it was about an hour to an houn and a half each way, if there were no accidents or stalls on 17 (Aptos to San Jose). If there was a stall, no less than two hours. If there was an accident, the road was closed and it took about 4 hours (thankfully this only happened once in 7 months).

Depends on traffic.........50 minutes to downtown Atlanta from my home in the mountains near Dahlonega with light to medium traffic, about 2 hours if traffic is bad. To Chattanooga, where I do most of my work, about an hour. Not bad for living out in the boondocks.

And I dont get the luxury of even getting on a freeway. I have to fight traffic on rural roads like 620 and 183 past Lakeline Mall all the way up to freaking Leander.

Ooooooh if I were ever an Austin city plannner........

They should have started all this highway construction years ago!

Wait till you move to LA. LA is the traffic capital of the US. I commute 25.5 miles each way. I average 51 min. 14 sec. to and 46 min. 45 sec. from work. And that is accomplished by checking the traffic situations of the 3 routes I can use on the internet each day right before I leave.

    Yes, I'm a statistic freak. :)

    5 - 10 minutes, depending on traffic.

How 'bout Austin? Does it rank up there too? It takes me 25 minutes without traffic to go almost exactly 5 miles on the freeway - which incidentally is halfway across town. With traffic that same trip takes me around 45 minutes.

Amen Drewdog! I feel your pain, only not in the same area of town.

35 minutes. No big deal, I'm twenty minutes away from any of my favorite locales anyway.
