How long is beltway 8?

Are they still talking about doing that? Is it really going to ever happen?

 

Highway 90 from Beltway 8 to 610 in SW Houston is incredible.

I thought it was signal lights so I avoided it. Holy crap it saves me so much time. It's great until Stafford...they want you to stop in their "town."

 

That annoys the hell out of me...they build overpasses on all the lights past Texas Parkway out to 610 which saves a lot of time; but then they not only refuse to build over/under passes on a few of the streets near city hall, but they add a few more lights right before you get to kirkwood!

 

it's been on the book since the 60s, and certain segments are currently under construction. seeing how they still haven't fully completed the beltway 15+ years later, this one will probably be finishing up in time for your kids (or grandkids) to drive on it.

 

You were probably the A@#H0#@ who was driving the wrong way on the Beltway at night on july 4th. That crap isn’t funny and its deadly. I was driving my GF back home in a small Toyota and out of no where some duchebag with a big truck comes roaring down my throat in the same lane as me (far left lane), Thank god I was able to swerve out of the way and the ******* stayed straight. If he was a little less drunk he probably would have swerved too... I almost died and I hate assholes how drink, cant handle their **** and think they can drive. I keep waiting for someone to post a nice map with the actual loop distance...
