Yeah, the NFL site does show them at that, which makes a lot more sense. The ESPN site shows them at #26, which is what threw me off. They have been doing so well lately it just didn't make sense.
I think I went into a time warp there. I didn't even realize those posts were a year old......LOL. I was reading posts and somehow that came up, so I didn't even realize it was a year old. I was directing the post to someone else, but it doesn't really matter anyway, since our old comments weren't even from this summer. Thanks for calling me out. Sorry if I ruffled your feathers a bit, and "hurt your brain" as you say. I do apologize. Yes, I agree, our defense has looked really good these last few games, which was why I was actually shocked to see ESPN ranking us at #26 in Total Defense, but found us at #9 on the NFL site after another OP mentioned that. I don't know how the rankings can be so different. Either someone made a mistake or rankings are so biased they are meaningless. Thinks that make you go hmmmmm.
I think you are looking at total yards on ESPN as that is what pops up first. And since we have played one more game than almost everyone else we have given up more yards. If you filter by yards per game on ESPN it also has us at number 9.
Texans have played more games than everyone else except Miami, so they have an extra games’s worth of yardage they have given up. Change the sort to yards per game on ESPN and they move to 9th.
With the teams we have led to play our defense should have some fun!! Two 5-5 teams and a bunch of losers.....LOL. We can depend on our defense to keep our broken bodied offense alive.
