What exactly does this article say that we didn't already know? It's not reporting anything new. No source. The title made it sound like they got a leak or a report from the team. Lazy journalism.

The cut is only good if we use the money to improve the team. Foster deserves respect not hate. He played to win unlike some of the other trash we currently have on this team that fail under pressure repeatedly but keep getting paid over and over after choking and sucking over and over.

Probably for the best. He's getting up there in age, has had numerous injuries and now Achilles injury which is probably the worst injury an RB could have.

Saves $6,625,000 in cap space after the dead cap. Not bad.

it was awesome to have Foster on this team. When healthy, he was dominant...but the last several years he was plagued with some ill timed injuries.

Personally speaking, with the 49ers hiring Chip...I can see him go back to California...

One of the best Texans ever... Carried us thru many games and will be missed. I wish him the best in the next stage of his career and hope he can find his way back to the organization in some way in the future.

I know better than to dip my toe into this toxic dump but, genuinely curious: who is this comment aimed at, exactly?

The most dynamic player this franchise will ever see or have. Its going to hurt so much when it does finally happen. Dammit. Damn that vegan diet (maybe).

Was a pleasure watching him play. Even though it had to end this way for him here, I'm glad he at least is secured financially.

Denver makes the most sense. He would also be good with the Patriots.

I hope you're kidding about the vegan thing. The vegan diet myth just will not die.

He announced he was vegan prior to the 2012 season and he was eating meat again by November of that year. And, um, 2012 was a pretty good season for him... 351 carries, 1,424 yards, 15 TDs. Then 140 yards in the playoff win over the Bengals.

Great player. I'll surely miss him.
