Finally! The Egyptian Festival is coming back to Houston this October at Discovery Green! http://egyptfesthouston.com/
Hopefully this is better than the Polish festival 10 or so months ago. That was terrible. Food was bought from an HEB deli and the lemonade had shreds of paper in it. A lot, not just a little. And it was like $3.

The food will be prepared by Phoenicia Specialty Foods, and the adult beverages are being imported from Egypt.
"Greeks in Egypt learning something deep from their teachers" ____ Always nice to see Houston get things... hope it goes well.
Honest question, are these festivals ever worth the hassle of parking, crowds, etc? The food isn't really a draw since you can find it readily throughout Houston
The cultural emphasis is on Ancient Egypt - there will be exhibits and artifacts, hieroglyphics station, belly dancing, hookah, camel rides. The food and beverage will be more modern Egyptian cuisine.
