Good move for both sides. That franchise needs fresh thinking and no GM should actually want to be there.

Kemba Walker is a really intriguing player. I'd be interested in making a play for him if this was a year ago and we didn't have CP.

How are Noel and Okafor bad picks? They are decent players Noel for example was like Embiid could have been no 1 material except he tore his MCL prior the draft. The key here is he wasn't even part of Philly's picks, they traded one of the most overrated all stars in Holiday for him. Only reason he isnt getting PT is Mavs are trying to low ball him. If he was such a scrub why did they offer 12M a year for him?

Okafor was overrated and should have been Porzingis but iirc ownership stepped in there and wanted Okafor. Regardless of how you grade their picks, Sixers still got 4 high lotto picks in 4 years and set the stage for getting Simmons. If you think getting high lotto picks by tanking is so "easy" again look at teams like Sacramento how come they couldn't do it? Hawks, Nets, Magic, Hornets etc have all been horrible for more than 4 years how come they dont have a crop of young talent like the Sixers?

Just Simmons by himself guarantees the Sixers a bright future and that is all thanks to the Process. They could have had a franchise pg to pair with him too except they messed up with Fultz.

Congrats Dwight! You got another coach fired! ;)
    I kid, I kid.

New York & Orlando, there's an expectation from within those organizations changes will come quickly. Steve Clifford in Charlotte, there's a new GM. Clifford has a year left on his deal. Kupchak has been very noncommittal. If he's out in Charlotte, he'd become a candidate immediately in Milwaukee, Phoenix & Memphis - who are starting searches when their season end.

    Stan Van Gundy?

He'll meet with Tom Gores. One way it could go is does he keep the coach job but give up his front office title? Does he not want to go that route & they eliminate him entirely? Conversation with Tom Gores will be important to how that plays out.

Man Clifford is a good coach. Will be a good candidate for other jobs.

Who was the GM that drafted Alonzo Mourning, Larry Johnson, Muggsy Bogues, Glen Rice? Charlotte bring him back.
