Not a major signing or anything, but the article is pretty neat. http://www.hoopsavenue.com/misc/news.php?news_id=7#7 After months of bitter negotiations that included Lee Nailon's agent taking his case to an internet message board , the Hornets have finally come to terms with forward Lee Nailon. After being drafted in 1999, Nailon could not come to an agreement with the Hornets and spent a year overseas. He did sign for the 2000-01 season, but for much less than he had anticipated. Nailon will not receive nearly as much guaranteed money as he would have liked, but Nailon expects to perform well enough that he won't need a guaranteed contract. In perhaps the most stunning piece of news related to this deal is that the Hornets will end a streak of 27 straight free agents that they could not re-sign. Yes, you read that right. The Hornets have not re-signed 27 straight of their own free agents, dating back to October 1995. Charlotte, however, has been able to reach contract extension deals with key players before their contract expires.
Oh! I thought they meant the free-agent they signed wasn't white, and that's what ended the "streak." just kidding
