So, Hillary Clinton is playing fast and loose again with politically correct pejoratives, this time berating Donald Trump as a 'sexist'. Of course with her history of attacking and silencing women who dared to speak out about her husband's sexually abusive and predatory practices, she has even less moral authority on this than Mitt Romney did in attacking Obamacare after his sponsorship of 'Romneycare' in Massachusetts when he was governor.

Of course some pundits have misinterpreted this as being about Trump attacking Bill Clinton. Not that there is anything wrong with that, as left-leaning columnist Ruth Marcus of the Washington Post confirms in her latest column. But that misses the point.

What we see here is Donald Trump deconstructing the central pillar of Hillary Clinton's campaign - that her credentials as a politically correct woman entitle her to the presidency and because of the protections that the "rules" of political correctness provide, she is untouchable and therefore inevitable.

Even if Trump does not win the Republican nomination - and I do not believe he will - he has shown the way for any other Republican nominee, if they are willing to follow his lead on this (no, they do not need to use terms like 'schlonged'). Of course if the Republican nominee refuses, the Republicans will lose again, because they cannot win while deferring to politically correct rules of engagement that are written by and inherently provide favoritistic treatment to the Democrats at Republicans expense.

Trump has shown how to neutralize Hilary Clinton's use of political correctness and the invocation of the "Woman's card." And with that realization, Hillary and her campaign team should be afraid. Very afraid.

Hillary doesn't care about women more than anybody else. All she cares about are her own selfish aspirations. She has a 20+ year history of this, and it's plain to see.

    I have two questions here:

    1. What has Bill Clinton done to be labeled a "sexually abusive" person? By definition, sexual abuse is much worse than anything Bill Clinton has ever done to a woman.

    2. What grounds does Donald Trump have in going after someone whose spouse had an extramarital affair? This is, after all, the same person who was involved in an affair with Marla Maples while still married to his first wife.

But hey, don't let facts get in the way of a good hissy fit. Carry on.

Why are the two mutually exclusive ideas? Donald Trump is sexist and Hillary is a hypocrite.

I guess an argument can be made that he abused his position of authority for sexual favors.

If you think anyone running for the president isn't doing for their own selfish aspirations, you're naive.

But he was sleeping around before he ever became President, Governor or a law professor, so maybe the fat and/or middle-aged chicks who he banged while in office might have been swayed by him anyways.

So racist and sexist attacks are okay because pointing them out is political correctness. This must be on the first page of the conservative political handbook.

All of this bull**** Trump throws out is simply to distract from the fact his plan to govern as President is without substance. He is the ultimate clown show candidate.

Trump taking on Bill is a very big risk especially when he is still trying to win his first primary.

Donald Trump does not want to take on Bill Clinton. Bill could **** Trump's trophy wife right now....and America would say"That's Bill being Bill......WE DON"T CARE!". America loves Bill. Bill is so smooth.....he would win any debate with Trump.....while ****ing Trump's wife....in front of everyone, while smoking a cigar.

Yes, the really evil people are not the racists, sexists, and those who subjugate others, it's actually the people who try to point them out - and we must attack them before they even get that chance!!!

    This is the bigotexxx way.

I just think Hillary is a fraud and feels entitled to the Presidency because its time for a woman to be president. I actually would love to have a strong, successful woman be President of the US but its not Hillary Clinton.

Its terrible that the first woman President is only in her position of power because her husband was President. If she had not been married to Bill Clinton it is doubtful anyone would know her name. Plus she stood by while her husband the president had affair after affair abusing positions of power with 20 year old interns as the President and Hillary had the nerve to attack the intern????

That is the antithesis to what people argue for women having equality and success on their own.

I would love to see a real successful woman in her own right by her own merits become President which Hillary has not.

What does that even mean? Is her entire resume moot because Bill sat in the White House for a few years?

I guess to be taken seriously and have merits on their own, "real" strong successful women need to marry the underachieving keyboard warriors of D&D instead of successful men of equal or higher status, right?

The Wall Street Journal nails it in this article on The Clinton War on Women:

does this fall under the political correctness complaint brigade, you know, the people who think that somebody yelling at somebody else is Communist Russia :confused::confused:

I still don't get this schtick. "YOU BETTER NOT TALK ABOUT YOU BEING A WOMAN OR ELSE I WILL LAMBAST YOUR HUSBAND FOR CHEATING AND DIRTY-MOUTHING WOMAN"

who gives a s**t about either?

Hillary is a terrible candidate, none of which has anything at all to do with sexual openness and TMZ dirt two decades ago. Look closer at her conflicts of interest, especially re: Wall Street if you want to talk serious issues.

I'm starting to think that people who clamor all of this "political correctness" nonsense are a bunch of trivial thinkers who wouldn't know issues of substance or real dangerous speech if it hit them upside the head.

All of this, including everything Trump says is static, white-noise that distracts voters from issues. Government spending, tax law, environmental protections, healthcare costs, gun violence, infrastructure issues, building middle class jobs...you know stuff that really effects people. Only Bernie is even talking about it.

    Great post. My thoughts exactly.

Except she did not just "stand by" then and she is not just standing by now. It also is not about Slick Willie. It is about Hillary and her lack of moral authority to be playing 'The Woman's Card' when she not only has this serial sexual abuser of women out campaigning for her on the stump, but she herself has been complicit in the sexual harassment of these women by her husband through her efforts to cover these episodes up.

As these quotes from Donald Trump and his campaign spokeswoman illustrate, Hillary was and is the transgressor here:

“If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the women’s card on me, she’s wrong!” Mr. Trump tweeted Monday.

“Hillary Clinton has some nerve to talk about the war on women and the bigotry toward women when she has a serious problem in her husband,” Trump campaign spokeswoman Katrina Pierson said recently on CNN. “I can think of quite of a few women that have been bullied by Hillary Clinton to hide her husband’s misogynist, sexist secrets.”

As many times as she tries to play 'The Woman's Card', she is going to be called to account and she is not going to be able to hide behind her husband either. Especially not her husband.

I think this latest effort by the right wing to attack Hillary will backfire. Seemingly unable to present a cogent policy advantage over her, they instead attack her, or in this case, her husband and her relationship with her husband. While those that are already against her will simply nod their head, I have a hunch this will only make those in the middle more sympathetic to her. Especially women voters.

Politics has very little to do with governing or issues these days
it is about gaining Personal Power

Sanders and Paul are the only two candidates that actually discuss nuanced policy.

Unfortunately they are too boring and don't have a powerful last name tied to them for the American public to care.
