I currently have a Black 2014 F150 Supercrew Lariat that is still sort of a "Dad Truck" and really want to give it some attitude, but I've never really been a big truck guy so I'm hesitant to really open the wallet up at an offroad store here in town when I really don't know much about lifts/tires.

    Couple things I'm looking for-

    A. I want it to sit more like a normal 4X4 but I don't want to go crazy with a lift. Will Leveling out the front be sufficient to give it a good look, or do you guys recommend something else that's inexpensive, and does the job without needing to overhaul your suspension etc? Let me know your recommendations on the lifting of the truck.

    B. What size do you recommend for wheels and tires if you want the offroad tread, but don't want it to look like a monster truck? Also I hate low profile tires on trucks personally. I want the most tire I can get without having to life it a ton if at all.

    C. Do you guys have recommendations of where to shop for the best deals in Houston, Dallas, or even Austin? I'm usually in all three within the span of a week or two for my job so I'm open to wherever in the tri city area.

I was thinking it would be great if I could find a good deal on some used rims, and buy new tires from Discount so I can get the warranty, etc. and then figure something else out with the lift, but I'm all ears. Feel free to share pics of your Trucks too if you did anything cool I can get ideas from.

Might want to try an F150 forum.

    A. Lift maybe sufficient it only really depends on the tires you want to put on.
    B. People usually run 33's. Use All terrain Tires and not mud tires for everyday driving and it will give you that look. BF KO2, duratrac, toyo are pretty good tires.
C.For general questions try 4wheel parts. They can give you a quote, but usually they are the most expensive. I use them as comparison when asking other shops.

    I had a 2004 F150 Supercrew Lariat 4x4. It has a front rake, so I
I'd go with a leveling kit instead of a lift, but had a little more lift because it was 4x4. You can get away with some AT's. There are some pretty good looking AT's out there.
I'm currently looking for for MT's for my 2002 FX4. I need them for the beach driving, boat launching, kayak fishing I do. Best deal I've found has been some Achilles Desert Hawk X-MT's out of simpletire.com. Looking at $700 for all 4 shipped.
