Tired of all the pivoting. Hoping they do something with this story this season. 3 years is long enough to get something going already.
VEEP is pretty good too. I thought the SV premiere was great and I think the pivots make a lot of sense. Video Chat has a much richer jumping off point for humor than a compression platform. Same thing with making a "new internet."
That sounds like a critique of Halt and Catch Fire. This is a Mike Judge comedy. Do they really need to become an awesome success story with a logo appearing in the opening credits to be funny? That's almost like saying..."Tired of all the bureaucracy and wheel-spinning on Parks and Recreations. Hoping Knope can finally get a project that has a lasting impact on Pawnee, maybe even make City Council."
Jared is lowkey the MVP of this show. This guy makes me laugh every time. The Hooli stuff and the 3 commas guy have been hiliarious too.
exactly, it's like some people want them to become billionaires so they can watch them live rich and famous so they can live happily ever after. the show has always been about the struggle to start up a tech company in the valley. once that struggle is over the show is over.
Great story HP. Never watched P&R so I don't even know what you're talking about. Honestly, I really do not care. If they stay with the same routine I'll just find something else to watch. I'm just not as attached to it as I was a year or two ago and that sucks as this was my favorite show on TV by far. It's definitely not as funny as it "was", and I watched the last 4 episodes of season 3 before this came on after the game. Barely laughed. One thing that would make me go hell yeah- Make sure Russ Hanneman stays on. Comedy gold when he's spitting out his lines.
Its hard to enjoy the show if one is trying to rationalize the tech. If the tech was half as good as they portray, they would be multi-millionaires over and over again.
I thought the running gag of sticking somebody in an office right in front of a men's room was pretty good... as was Belson really trying to make sure that Jackson Hole was further away from China than Moffett ("Did you account for wind currents and storm formation? Better do the trip 5 times to get an average....") While the show will always be formulaic in some respects (team is on the cusp of a big breakthrough, only to come crashing down, but still have a relatively happy ending).... ditto to those that see the comedy is not in the success of the group. The show very well could be over if they ever make it big.
It has opened it self to more comedy by moving some of the peices around The Pakistani Denzel being promoted can be funny . . . it can be rich Rocket River
Anyone else get the obvious tribute to Mike Judge's other hit Office Space? Very Milton-esque end to the episode.
Same here. I thought this season was meh at most throughout the first 2 episodes and was thinking about quitting the show altogether, but the last episode and the preview to episode 4 has me going again. This is where we finally find out Jareds true personality and why he was speaking in German while he was speaking in season 1 or 2.
Pakistani Denzel's promotion did not last long enough The Hooli Guy is always funny Bachman is usually good for a chuckle Gilfoyle and Pakistani Denzel as well Am I the only one that just doesn't find ANYTHING Big Head does funny Rocket River
