    What's the latest on Chuck? Hope he stays put. I'm biased obviously, but the dude is underrated.

    I dont know where he'll go but I think he is gone. A little surprised he's not receiving more interest from contenders.

    Is he receiving interest from Boston? I dont know. I heard/saw the likes of Toronto, Minnesota, Sacramento, Houston, and one other team(not Boston).

    The Celtics have shown interest in Chuck, but can only offer the tax MLE ($3.1M/year for 3 years).

    The same goes for the Blazers.

    I hope Chuck comes back. I don't want stinkin' Samuel Dalembert.

    Hayes gets resigned to a modest contract (same as Scola and Lowry) and will be partnered with Samuel Dalembert.

    I would be pissed if Rockets lose out on Chuck by chasing a bum like Dalembert.

    Morey should be fired immediately if this were to happen.

    Heard today that the length of the deal is very important to Chuck. He wants years. Supposedly, he wants to stay here though. Let's see if Morey makes any trades.

    No one is signing, it is the way of the NBA, big dogs first, then the rest will fall in line, and all in a quick manner.

    And to top it off, no one can sign until Dec 9th anyway.

    Why? The Rockets don't have a C, much less a backup C. If we go into the season with

    Scola/Patterson
    Dalembert/Hayes

    we are better off than we were last year.

    Well that's good for us, right? We can offer him a year more than anyone else can (?)

    I don't think we can offer him a Nick Collison type deal but 5yr 15Mil-ish shouldn't hurt our cap position that much.

    re-sign Chuck!

    i really do hope the Rockets do sign Chuck Hayes for an extension so he can still be with the team. we really could use him in the lineup this year since we really don't have a big guy in the middle.

    I don't know, the way Morey has been stockpiling 2009 folks that can expire this year means he is targeting next offseason to have a lot of cap room and signing Chuck to a longer term deal cuts into that flexibility.

    My guess is that we keep the Amnesty in our pockets for next year's free agent class to see if we can offer a couple of max contracts.....
