I never said annything about Silas but I can’t stand this current trash of a coach. What does that tell you. Nobody wants to play for a big ass former garbage ass role player not even good to ride the bench career of a coach. Trash. Literally the world is better without him in it
Cool, but drafting Castle or Clingan, those defensive guys are better trade baits than Sheppard an occasional shooter.
It's been a while since he's been burnt out because Udoka was coaching the team the past 2 years and everyone was singing his praises. I wonder what changed from last year. Oh yeah...that's right, that stupid KD trade.
This is how I see it too. The KD files were really eye opening for me. Prior to that I always thought the "KD is a cancer" stuff was overblown. At first I thought/hoped they were fake, but his complete silence and refusal to address or deny it is pretty telling. Then you can look at how we played before and after they came out and you can really see what's happening. I think it had a huge impact on the team. And even if those texts never got released publicly, the fact that he's thinking those things and writing those things in group chats tells you everything you need to know about his attitude and what kind of teammate he is. Even if his teammates never found out and they stayed private, someone that thinks that way has to be really damaging for your team. There's no way you can think and say those things about your teammates behind the scenes while also being a good teammate on the court and in the locker room. It's a real shame.
Absolutely. Stone had a horrible off-season and abysmal trade deadline as usual. This team doesn't fit together because of the poor shooting, no spacing, and lack of high basketball IQ players.
I have put all the blame on Ime but must admit that the KD trade was a huge mistake. He has killed any chemistry this team had just as he has on most every team he has been on except the GSW. Just look at Phoenix, they are better without KD and that is not because they got Jalen rather KD killed their chemistry just like he is doing for us. I have no issues with Jalen being gone but getting KD was a huge mistake.
Not true. Many of us pointed out Ime's deficiencies last year. He relied way too heavily on a mediocre Fred VanVleet, he waited til past midseason to even attempt the double big combination(and only then because they were on the verge of their 6th straight loss), he refused to develop Reed and gave up on Cam within the first week of the season, he arbitrarily shortened the rotation to 8 players down the stretch and wouldn't even give Aaron a shot vs the Warriors despite him hitting 40% from 3 last year, and he was outcoached by Kerr in the postseason. Several of those aforementioned issues are now exacerbated this season. His overreliance on Fred last season blew up in our face this season. Whatever's driving his dislike of Reed is preventing him from giving him an opportunity as a full-time starter. And his penchant for playing a short rotation is saddling us with extended minutes for the likes of DFS at the expense of better players like Josh. Hell, he's pretty much buried Aaron at the end of the bench and won't even play him anymore even when we desperately need shooting.
KD probably doesn’t want a ring as much as a playoff run to pad his stats. Every extra game just adds 30ish points every game he plays in. I am almost positive KD would be pissed if we were to sweep the other team because that would mean less points in his career total. The more games the better for him and his personal agenda. Unfortunately this is just unwatchable.
Agreed. I think most of the young guys are good guys and want to improve, want to win, and want to be coached. They deserve better leadership and guidance. I actually think Fred (as much as CFers hating him) can be a good influence. He's just not the most talented guy on the team to actually lead by example.
It's funny, I actually like FVV, but can't abide by Ime's unnatural use of him. If he used him off the bench next year in a role where he plays 20-24 minutes I think he'd be great for the team.
I'm expecting us to go out in a pathetic fashion. Like those sad KD Suns teams. The last KD Suns playoff team had bad chemistry and got swept in the 1st round by the Twolves, after a disappointingly meh regular season
