Dude who cares. Harden is who is he is. He can be viewed as a great player with serious flaws or a really really really good player. Basically the same thing in a sense. Fact is despite Harden’s shortcomings, we were one half away from a championship and less importantly, maybe a few healthy games away from winning 70 plus. In the regular season Harden is probably the best player in the league... and yes he has a lot of bad gamss in the playoffs but I think that Morey has figured out how to mask Harden’s shortcomings. It came extremey close to working; an injury one game too soon...
great players who failed to lead & carry his team to beat super duper team & refs in 2 tries Harden & Lebron
Harden's lowest TS% in the playoffs since he's joined us was .519 in 2014, higher than Westbrooks' TS% the last three seasons. Westbrook had a TS% of .493 this year in the postseason. Harden's was .548. Ridiculous comparison.
Harden . . and this team . . IS BETTER THAN THE OKC TEAM that lost the 3-1 lead! And neither of their stars got injured Rocket River
Absolutely they need them both. That’s why it’s not the point I brought up. The point I made was when they were both healthy the Rockets were winning the series primarily on CP3s style, play and leadership. Not that Harden wasnt important ... just not the alpha leader
IMO They took turns, KD was clearly the Alpha in the Spurs and Pelicans series. Both were not consistent enough against the Rox but KD was very good in the first 2 rounds. If you think of a vocal leader, I think Draymond is the most vocal leader on that team. Steph and KD lead by example as Yao Ming did it for us.
There were LITERALLY articles coming out after Game 4 saying that Harden "willed his team to the win" and "wouldn't let them lose" and "kept everybody from giving up" But ok
The first two rounds were not a challenge KD is a front runner. . . . .when isht gets tough .. . he shrinks Rocket River
Harden is a great player but not a leader. He's not same level as lebron or CP3. Heck KD isn't even a leader on his team. Nothing wrong with that we just need to surround harden with strong leader type player.
Are you implying the refs are the leader of the GSW? They never shrink in crunch time, they get them through.
I rank current GSW as: Curry Dray KD Klay I'd honestly have KD last but for the fact that Klay just doesn't really give a f and is such an amazing team role player.
had he had a fair whistle in game 7 we would be having a different discussion now..he would be a leader who crushed the best team of all times singlehandedly
LOL even cp3 OR lebron wouldn't have led a harden less 6 man rotation rockets team VS a superduper & refs team to a win in game 6 & 7
Switch harden n curry for the whole season Gsw still up 2-0 in finals Rockets may not have even made the playoffs
The most ridiculous part about this continued trope of yours is that the GSW as they currently look and feel wouldn't exist with Harden on the team. Kerr designed the system specifically for those players. Harden, Klay and Dray would still be VERY VERY good... but none of it would have gone down remotely close to how it did. But sure, hypothetically switch them this year. Assume they had time to gel, implement a new system, etc. They're "probably" in the Finals and winning. Curry on the Rockets would also be very very good, assuming health. Curry + CP3 plus Capela and defensive role players. No reason to think they'd be worse. MDA would absolutely craft a great offense out of that.
LOL assume health? curry's & cp3's health harden >>>>> curry harden can lead GSW to the best record in the league and the chip Curry with his and Cp3's injuries will be lucky to be 3rd seed
I give you credit for being such a hardcore, non-waivering fan. But... lol... yeah, that's not how history is going to remember it even remotely...
