Most of them have been Witting for a long time. I think we know now that Russian Nationalism is something they actually adore as a culture that fits their worldview. Knowing a source is a Russian agent means nothing to Trump fans if it suits their fight against democracy. And no... the GOP can no longer refer to their platform as a Democratic form of government. When you want to deny the most basic form of Democracy to the population, you lose the ability to tout any semblance of standing up for a Democratic government platform.

When leaders of your party outright support voter suppression.. that’s the sign that they do not care about democracy but about grabbing and maintaining power. Now that they have power, they will go version 2 of voter suppression. If that succeeds , version 3... and if that succeeds... those danger are obvious, but as long as my side is winning, I won’t stand up to principle. Democracy is lost. Hackers have penetrated 21 state voter systems in some ways (classified so we don’t know details). Wouldn’t surprise me that there has been and will be attempt to mess with voter registration. Removing massive number of eligible voters is an easy way to create doubt in the result, or to steer the result.
