From what I understand of this White House / FEMA / NASA announcement, I like it very much. It's a real scientific issue that could dramatically affect people on Earth, and we're not quite prepared for it, beyond just sitting around and hoping we keep being lucky. Augmented effort to detect and prepare for dangerous asteroids. Maybe there's not much to debate, but nice just to share something positive in this forum. And no, Space Force is not involved at this point.
