I love Rockets basketball, I really don’t care to watch or follow any other team/players. I can see where others might have a different take on this, to each his own.

After further thinking about it, Nowitzky sucks!!

    Go Rockets!!!
    Go Texans!!!
    Go Astros !!!

Yes absolutely. Similarly, I definitely respect the season Giannis is having. His numbers are also kind of insane, and absolutely he's a better defender, on a team that has taken a bigger leap defensively than offensively. But personally, besides being a biased Rockets fan... I can't get past the coaching change. They went from a known bad coach to a known great coach and got a lot better. SHOCKING!!

Moreover, staying on the MVP topic, I really hate how many times I've heard "best player on best team argument" the last month. That's never been the criteria, even factoring in that INDEED the MVP usually comes from one of the best regular season teams.

Hypothetically, if the Bucks slip to end the season and finish behind or tied with GSW and Nuggets record-wise, these same media analysts aren't going to be clamoring for Nikola Jokic to be the MVP. Even though frankly you can make that argument right now. I'd certainly argue the East-West difference could account for the 4 game difference between their records right now.

Anyway, I try to have a well rounded view. And it works both ways. I think Dirk is probably underrated as a whole (outside of Dallas of course) though he's closed that gap with his longevity and farewell tour... whereas Kobe is obviously overrated because of where he played.

There's blind Rockets fan and there are real Rockets fans.

Blind Rockets fans are plenty here.

We know who the real fans are .

Also Wesley Snipes doesn't look like Michael Finley.

Michael Finley looks like Billy Ocean.

Ok so we hold about the same opinion. I have heard several local media here in Dallas say he is top 10 all time.

Jason Terry hit all those threes.

    Rockets fans remember that.

So did Kenny Smith, but Dream still did it by himself. Neither Jets were all-stars.

Dream did with the best role players of all time.

Dirk had his role players too, but I get what you are saying. He was clearly the best player on his team and #2 wasn't close.

Dirk was a great player because he was a great player.

Has nothing to do with Rockets fandom or not.

He's 3-5 all-time power forward which means he's in probably in the 15-25 range as a player. However, his perfomance during the championship run was probably only second to Duncan as power forwards go.

He changed the big man's game - a first ballot Hall of Famer.

Hated that he played for Dallas but you can't deny his talent. He changed the game for big men. His shooting touch was amazing. His 2011 finals performance/playoff performance was something to behold. I remember watching every game and Dirk willed that team against a stacked Miami team. First ballot HOF for sure.
