The only humor is in how sad it is that a middle aged man calls UT fans classless while he argues with the only things his child like brain cam come up with "Suck It. Up Yours."

USC has the same issue, they aren't going to win their conference either.

Texas is in great shape....they don't control their destiny due to losing on the last second at Tech, but they are right in the mix.

Tech would be too, except that they got exposed on national television as a home-front running team.

Most of us knew it already, they barely escaped Nebraska at home....LOL...Tech has had a great year but they are not in UT/OU/UF/Bama/USC's class.

Heck if OU wins, Tech goes to a 3rd tier bowl. UT is guaranteed to go to a BCS bowl and has a decent shot at the National championship....

I am rooting for this to happen.

    OU wins, then beats Mizzou

Auburn beats Bama...then Bama beats Florida....

Leaving a UT vs OU rematch for the National championship.

If the Bears win, the OU vs OKSU game is meaningless.

The only thing that remains to be seen is, if Baylor somehow manages to beat Tech, how many posts after the game will it take for Fatty to complain that someone is picking on him?

Yep, they got lucky to catch UT after 3 tough games at home and played inspired football.

However, one dropped INT from losing.

IMO...if Tech played at Texas they would get killed....if they played at a nuetral field they would get killed....if they played again in Lubbock it is 50/50.

    Doesn't matter though....they were exposed.

OR you can say Tech led the game for a little over for 58 minutes. UT couldnt even hold the lead for less than 2 minutes.

You can say what you like.....UT lost to Tech that is undeniable...but to me, Tech is not in UTs class....they got lucky.

Gideon catches that ball 95 out of 100 times.....

    Ah UT...great regional football power.

To me 2 championships since 1960 does not a national power make.

To be fair still two more than my Cougars have won.

If youve won the recruiting battle in the state of Texas and if youve won a national championship in the past 10 years and if you are #2 overall in the number of wins by a NCAA team then Id consider UT to be a national powerhouse

LOL - no doubt...UT is always in the mix....not just once every few years, they are right there, every year.

Except Texas has 4 national titles in that span. How many teams have more than that?

You do realize that Texas is 2nd only to Michigan for most wins in the history of NCAA Division 1 football, right? Even when they have a few off years, I don't think anyone (without a biased opinion) would say Texas is not a football power.

My bad. I forgot about 1970.

Those numbers would also be a lot different if the chart was based on championships after 1960 like MM said. We'd be higher up the list.

If the Bears & Cowboys win, Longhorns get to the BCS title game.
