Vengeance, If possible, can you give me some instructions? I've never been successful downloading these things for some reason. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to things computer related. I'll download Mozilla if you help.
LOL same here Vengeance, not exactly to sure how to get this going. I appreciate you posting some live stuff for me though thanks.
Sorry guys, I was on a retreat for the past two days so I was out of touch with this. ONE OF THE MOST FUN TIMES EVAR! The files I've uploaded are FLACs. FLAC is the Free Lossless Audio Codec. It's a way to compress an audio file without losing any quality. Thus, a wav file, which is the original quality, may be something like 75MB, let's say. A FLAC might compress it from the 75 MB to something like 50MB, but it won't lose any quality. This is in contrast to an MP3 or Ogg or any other lossy format -- those compress the file quite a bit more, but they lose a notable amount of quality. You don't notice the quality loss on studio recordings so much, but on live performances (particularly audience mics), it'll sound notably worse. Shorten (SHN) and Monkey's Audio are basically the same thing. FLAC is an open-source codec, and it typically compresses better than either SHN or MA. The big two in the trading community are SHN and FLAC, and FLAC is slowly gaining ground on the more dominant SHN. Also, my Rio Karma plays FLACs, so I can just throw a few shows on there and I'm good for a while Now, to use these files, you need to download the FLAC codec and install it. It installs: FLAC decoder for Winamp (one can be gotten for QCD, which is what I use. Just google it) FLAC decoder for Nero and Roxio (I think, maybe just Nero) Frontend for the FLAC encoder/decoder a few other bits So, you just download all these files, and you can either listen to them on your computer, burn them to CDs, or decode them to WAVs using the FLAC frontend. To use the frontend, just drag whatever FLACs you want to decode into the program's input window, hit "Decode" and it'll take like 30 seconds to decode them. Using Ogg Drop XP, you can convert them to Ogg files, which are compressed (like MP3s, but open source + better quality to compression ratio). If you have any more questions, let me know. edit: Something I just remembered. If you burn them to CD, burn "Disc at once" (DAO), and make sure to set the track delay between songs to 0. If you don't, it'll put a 2-second delay in-between each song, and it kills the live mood.
Just got back from the concert, it was amazing, best live performance I have ever seen. It sounded like I was listening to one of their cds, it was filled with energy like RM95 said. There was a little bit of political commentary like you guys said, but it wasnt bad, every band said just make sure to go out and vote. I enjoyed the other bands as well, especially Ben Harper, I hadnt heard him before and he totally blew me away. I had a very good time and hope to see more dave in the future.
Nice setlist: So Much To Say -> Rapunzel Best of Whats Around What Would You Say Rhyme & Reason Good Good Time Hello Again Grey Street Sugar Will Joy Ride Warehouse Lie In Our Graves Cry Freedom Too Much __________________ The Stone Ants Marching Glad to hear you enjoyed it so much. When I get a copy of this show, I'll put it up for everyone. Awesome to see you got "Good Good Time". Everyone's been wondering what happened to it after it was played for a while earlier in the tour. Cry Freedom is a big surprise, and a very nice rarity (lately), as is BOWA. Wish they'd have one of those shows here, but W has this state locked up, so no music for us . . .
Vengeance, I still haven't been able to download this stuff. I can't ever get your pages to load. Any suggestions? Thanks.
