Finland is the only EU country where homelessness is falling. Its secret? Giving people homes as soon as they need them – unconditionally https://www.theguardian.com/cities/...le-helsinkis-radical-solution-to-homelessness
Sociamilism! Only good, honest corporations and the wealthy who've proven their worth deserve free handouts. If you are homeless, clearly it is prima fascie evidence that you are defective and don't deserve a house. I had to work hard for every penny I inherited to buy my house!
Terrible idea I live in a house, and the thought of a homeless person being my neighbor just makes me sick Can’t Elon just demote them to the moon? Or implant a chip in their heads to make them normal?
I don’t think the lack of housing is the main issue for a lot of the homeless. You can shelter them but life still sucks for them.
Speaking about homeless people as a monolith doesn't really work. Only 1/5th of the homeless in the US are estimated to be chronically homeless.
The issue for a lot of them is severe untreated mental illness. A lot of kids that age out of foster care become homeless as well. Point is just giving them a home isn’t likely to be enough as they may still require wraparound services. It just depends on the situation.
Putting the homeless in homes is not only good for them but for the community. Businesses and home owners all benefit from not having homeless encampments in the area. The environment is also helped and much less waste pollution. Sure there are more services needed for some homeless people. But this method gets rid of one of their problems. Now instead of needing a home and services, they just need services. This moves helps business owners, home owners, and the homeless as well.
Oh great ! Skid Row is gone tomorrow! Los Angeles saved Lol Never going to happen breh @basso there’s a better chance the Rockets win the next 20 championships
This wasn't a thread about whether it would happen here or not. But if they did do it, skid row would be gone. That's an amazing thing about which to think.
