What credit exactly? For two years, he and his friend Silas kept the most important potential of the team behind a bum who beat his girlfriend and went to prison, and a kid whose mind was not in the game never.

Which team in the league would give Jock Landale this contract today?

It was even said that this man came down to the training court and gave instructions to the players.

All he has to do is realize that the players he drafted with the second and third picks will never turn out the way he envisioned, and that he will do what is necessary during the trade period and go away at the end of the season.

I hate him as much as Silas, and maybe even more. He was basically the reason why Silas had been able to stay here this long. Plans to create a headhoncho together!

He should have taken Mobley and Murray over Green and Bari...we would be a lot better now.

Mobley means no Sengun and Murray....seriously? LOL

Mobley is extremely overrated as he landed on a team with 3 all stars. If you think Green is bad I'm sure Mobley would have looked like a bust here cuz he can't score apart from layups and dunks and no one on our team can set him up. Keegan Murray is undersized at 6'8 and is already 23 yrs old, literally 3 yrs older than Jabari.

Yeah we'd be better THIS year and LAST year but when Jabari hits 25 you'd realize he is much better than Murray lol.

You realize Stone was the one who drafted your guy Sengun right?

Getting Sengun already means Stone gets an A.

The whole point of tanking is to get that franchise player/ star. Maybe Green and Jabari don't turn into stars but Sengun already turned into a star. It's mission accomplished. It's like when the Mavs got Luka, their job at building a contender got much easier.

And the nice thing about Sengun is he isn't a unicorn either, he doesn't look like he'll have a short career due to injuries or have some mental flaws like say Zion or Harden. He's a legit 21 yr old all star and if our young core isn't enough to help him win a ring I'm sure he can attract displaced superstars to help him in the future.

You'd have blown a fuse when they were forced to dump KPJ to add Mobley. And if you think that, despite Mobley's dad making it clear his son wouldn't be interested in playing here, everything would have been all rosy, you're deluded and probably singing Kumbaya as you read this. :D

stone may be out of a job once it’s clear his prized draft picks all flopped. Sengun and finding Tate are the only sure fire hits he’s had to his name to date.

remember this idiot wanted frank Vogel

Stone not only picked Sengun, he traded up for the pick. How many times did we hear Morey say “we tried to trade up, but nothing worked.”

Hey! Leave Kumbaya out of your hate speech! ;) Kumbaya wants no part of the conflict.

Honestly though, it seems to me the greatest thing that ever happened to Stone was coach Udoka becoming available and coach Udoka saying, "I will come there for a big bag of money and you will stay out of my way! Right Tillman?!"

Holiday is a 2 way deal bro. Landale sucks ass but apparently he outplayed Ayton last year and his contract is not guaranteed.

LOL. Say that again about picks flopping? If Stone wanted Vogel we prob would have signed Vogel duh.

The lengths people go to just not to give Stone his credit always amuse me.

The win total from last year has already been matched. Our young core is coming together. Jalen is getting accumulated to the new system. At what point does our GM get the credit any other one would get?

Stone gets credit for trading up for Sengun. Had he not done that, he may have been fired cuz of KPJ debacle. other than that, green, sengun, Smith, and whitmore are players ever other GM would have taken. If we grabbed mobley, we wouldn't have taken Sengun. So everything worked out.

He is still on the clock. If he makes a stupid trade with our brooklyn picks and trade one of young studs to another team and they turn into the next james harden, he should be fired.

He doesn't operate with the same level of wizardry that Daryl Morey did. He's just a yes man lawyer that is going through the motions as of now. If the Rockets get back to contender status within the next 2-3 seasons, I'll give him some props.

Not so fast. How did he get in position to make these draft picks you claim were conventional picks? You can't just skip past everything that happened once Harden was traded. Remember the criticism Stone got for not getting back a superstar & taking back 7 draft picks? Remember the John Wall contract that eventually freed up TONS of cap space? Who gets credit for that?

good point, forgot about that. Not sure if that decision was entirely on him or the fertitas were involved too, but true he gets credit for that.
