I never got around to the Uncharted series but have heard great things. Should I start with the original or jump in with part 2?
Uncharted 1 is a good game, but Uncharted 2 IMO is the best game released this gen bar none. Nothing comes close. You might miss out on the back story of a character or two by jumping into 2 first, but I'd say just go for it anyways. Playing 1 and then 2 might make it seem a little tedious. Play 2 first, and then go back and play through 1 if you have time.

I played the 2nd one without ever playing the first time and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't think I missed much in terms of the story besides a few inside jokes from the first one. So imo it's not necessary to play the first one.
I got the 2nd one after all the hype, it was amazing. But the first one was nearly as good and 2 years older..... Both are worth playing and you can pick them up used on the cheap. DD
I thought the first game was pretty good. It's definitely worth picking up on the cheap these days. The second game blew the first game out of the water and pretty much improved everything. It was such a leap from the first that it's a bit difficult for me to go back to play the original. Here's my ClutchFans review of Uncharted 2.
I'm disappointed about the setting. I, along with many others, thought the next logical choice was Atlantis, not the Atlantis of the sand. It'll be very hard to beat the variety of colorful backdrops in the last one.
Will buy this one, both of them were great with the second being superb. One of the best series ever in terms of graphics, story, and gameplay.
