I use Uplay, but I play some Ubisoft games almost daily (Rocksmith 2014) mostly. It's not so bad. I've grown accustomed to having to sign up for every publishers stupid system. Acti/Blizzard's Battle.net, EA's Origin, Ubi's Uplay. Just part of the process now, as dumb as that is. Try a different browser? Worked for me in Chrome.

thanks for the link! I had my beta code last week, but wanted to try out the game with a couple of friends who didn't have access, to see if we should buy it. I really hope this game is fun with friends.
Supposedly quite good with friends. I've only played it solo so far which was enjoyable. In the high end content you definitely want to be in a group.
Pro-tip: To increase image quality in the game turn off Chromatic Aberration, and turn up Sharpness to about 75% in the graphics options.
I actually had a lot of fun playing with a friend. Going to try out Dark Zone tomorrow night. I was likely going to pre-order already, now I definitely am.
