"In terms of variety, and who could get his shot off, you'd have to say Kobe," says Michael Jordan, the Wizards president of basketball operations, who ranked Vince Carter and Tim Duncan close behind.

GAME ON THE LINE, WHO DO YOU WANT DEFENDING THAT LAST SHOT?

It's true that Sixers center Dikembe Mutombo is the only four-time recipient of the NBA's defensive player of the year award. And Gary "The Glove" Payton is considered one of the greatest defensive guards in league history. But the player who gets the edge as the stopper on a final possession: Kobe Bryant (27.7 percent, 10 votes)

Who do I want to take the last shot:
    1. Reggie Miller - It's not even a contest. This guy is so clutch it's a joke. He's the 2-guard version of Larry Bird
    2. Nick Van Exel - This guy hit so many game winning shots as a Laker it's a joke. This guy is another Reggie Miller when taking a last second shot
    3. John Stockton - Dagger in the heart, no question. Give the guy 100 shots to win the game he'll hit it 99% of the time. The only Jazz member with any kind of heart what's so ever, even if he's a dirty little b*stard.
    4. Kobe Bryant - Talent and confidence equals trouble
    5. Allen Iverson - See Kobe Bryant

Who do I want to defend the last shot:
Before I get to this, I saw that Kobe finished number 1. The guy's defense is overrated, no way is he the guy I want defending the last shot!

    1. Eddie Jones - This guy is like an iron clamp. Good luck getting a shot off or dribbling the ball against this guy!
    2. Dikembe Mutombo - The best defensive player in the last 5 years. Forget getting a last second shot off, most people are scared to shoot against him DURING the game!
    3. Alonzo Mourning - intense, aggressive, smart shotblocker. Defensively he has a ton of heart
    4. Gary Payton - The "Glove", Gary Payton is the best defensive PG in basketball, and maybe the best defensive guard period.
    5. Latrell Sprewell - This guy is one of the best straight up defenders I've seen in years. He is GREATLY underrated because he is a great scorer. Definitely want Sprewell to defend that last shot.

I would definitely rank Robert Horry up there. This dude is so calm and very clutch!! I am rooting for the 76ers, but when I saw Horrw wide open in that corner, I knew the game was over. Put Horry on the list!

I like the job Kobe did defending Snow in game 1....oh wait, Kobe, with an 8 inch height advantage, got scored on by a guy with a hurting foot. [IMG]

I have to go with Glen Rice or Ray Allen both good clutch preformers.

Taking the last shot Im an old Laker fan so I have seen Larry Bird kill us from time to time.

MJ- How could you even argue?
    Magic-Pick a shot, any shot.
Zeek - The Bad Boy was just Bad!
    Miller- very clutch
Jerry West - you really cant argue with this one

    Defending

    Micheal Cooper - enough said!
    MJ - still cant argue
Gary Payton - The Glove is so underrated
Sidney Moncrief - You better watch some old games if you never heard of this name

Maurice Cheeks - Just hard to score on
