I hope there won't be any more kids throwing fire balls this season. I love the show, but with that and the dragons, it just seemed a little too juvenile for me. That said, I can't wait until season five starts. This is the only show that I've watched that leaves me dying to see what will happen next. I was late to the party on every other show with that potential. I could just binge watch.
Spoiler based on the way books 4 and 5 kind of meander around, basically just positioning the characters....that might not be such a bad thing GRRM acknowledged cutting some major battle scenes from book 5 and has already released some preview material...so jumping into book 6 territory this season seems likely
A fantasy show with dragons... is juvenile... ... Serious? Wait until it burns someone alive and you get to see it.
Yeah, my DVR picked it up automatically so I went ahead and checked it out. Sometimes people complain about the shows budget constraints, but when you see the massive scope of what they have to do with some of these sets you can see how costs could mount.
Exactly, the production is massive. I'd love to see more but I'm just glad they can pull off what they do.

No, but the kids throwing fire balls was a little too much for me. This really isn't my genre of entertainment, but the show just has so many other things going for it that I got hooked.
With the showing gaining massive popularity (and I'm guessing this means more revenue), would it be possible for them to add on an episode or two? It's been 10 episodes / season for 4 seasons now, so I can understand the continuity. But I think they can realistically input one more episode. There aren't any commercials during episodes, right? Aside from HBO's subscription service, who funds the show?
Always leave em wanting more, that's what makes Game of Thrones so great. After waiting 10 months people are foaming at the mouth for the new season. Because the seasons are so compact, all of the episodes feel very meaningful. They certainly could add an episode or two but you risk watering things down with filler. If it ain't broke don't fix it, I think you run the risk of becoming like the walking dead where the show starts to drag.
Not specifically season 5 related but Weiss and Benioff have confirmed that they plan to finish the HBO series before the books. http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2015/03/game-of-thrones-tv-show-will-spoil-books
The thing is . .. hard to say where they are in the books to an extent They have changed so much . . . so . . It should still be a fun ride for both Rocket River
Not really a big surprise. Since the end of season 2 it was pretty clear GRRM had no chance of staying ahead of the show. While the ultimate ending will be spoiled, there are quite a few different character and subplots in the book that should still make it a good read.
