Really digging this show..... it's about two old men..... Jeff Bridges who has the hair of a teenager and John Lithgow who has the hair of an old man and they are caught in cat and mouse spy game. Somewhat jk.... but damn Jeff Bridges is an amazing actor with the hair of Zeus. Really good show that alternates between the past and the present as an ex-CIA agent's past gets unearthed. Really good supporting actors in John Lithgow and Maeby Fünke ( aka Alia Shawkat). Well worth a gander.
It's an interesting premise for a show but what makes it interesting also makes it somewhat hard to swallow. In that sense, it reminds me of "24". You can't lose when you have Bridges and Lithgow involved as two of the main leads.
Just watched first episode. Gotta say….dude who played a young Jeff Bridges nailed it. I was impressed.
I like it too. Some parts are hard to swallow as believable. Bridges and Lithgow are great. I LOVE THE DOGS!!! Rocket River
I would watch. . . . If they had Thought Bubbles or voice overs. . .it could be hilarious Rocket River
So…..uhhh…..I’m an old man myself, and I really like Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow. And I really like the premise of this show. Hell, I waited until late Thursday night to catch the latest episode. I am NOT a misogynist…..in fact, I tend to think women are almost always superior. But JB and JL seem to be carrying this show……and damn…… I think it’s already jumped the shark. Anyhoo…..probably just the cocktails talking; never mind and carry on…..
I watched the first 4 episodes last weekend and cant wait to watch tonight, Bridges is like fine wine, he just gets better and better with age
First Jeff Bridges movie I remember seeing, Starman. this is what he actually looked like in the mid 80's: Vs:
You know a good show when time flies when you watch it. I think this show...it would be better to wait and binge the whole season.
Just finished the season last night. Plot feels too loose. characters are forced. relationships are forced. No depth and each curve takes it further off the believability scale. Love Bridges and Lithgow and they are trying like hell to make it interesting- but will be shocked if this gets another season.
Prepare for a shock - already renewed for season 2. Also, seems to be doing aaight on Rotten Tomatoes, I think yours is a minority view:
