Whether it's from Sam's, Costco, HEB, or any grocery stores, I'm looking for something as close to Chik Fil-A's nuggets and strips as possible. Basically easy on the breading and got real chicken meat, not like those fake ones McD's and Burger King use on their nuggets.
Nothing pre-breaded & frozen will come anywhere close to CFA, especially white meat boneless strips/nuggets etc. Better off going a different chicken route entirely. Some of the better pre-breaded frozen wings I've had are the bone-in Tyson's that some of the bigger HEB's bake & serve out of their deli department. The actual product they buy are a wholesale sku, but there are similar tyson wings in consumer packages in the warehouse clubs. Still around the quality level of the old pizza hut wings (before they downgraded to "jumbo" wings a couple years ago). Good, not great. But when it comes to white meat nuggets and strips at home, pickle juice brining, breading, & frying yourself is the only way to get the CFA style you're looking for. I would rather cook chicken different ways than frying myself indoors, even grilling or smoking outside is more convenient for me. Then save my fried chicken splurges for bonchon, my current favorite for spicy white meat breaded strips.
https://www.tasteofhome.com/article/best-chicken-tenders/ https://www.eatthis.com/best-tasting-frozen-chicken-tenders/ I got some either at Walmart or HEB and they are pretty good I can't remember the name will post after i Get home, they are high fast food quality chicken breast not patties.
Costco Just Bare nuggets are the closest thing to CFA nuggets you’ll find. They’re kinda expensive but worth it, my son (about to be 2) loves them.
Robert C. Baker, inventor of the chicken nugget, is a member of the American Poultry Hall of Fame. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_C._Baker
It's ironic that the chicken nuggets from 40 years ago from Sam's Club were better than anything out there today as far as frozen. I remember eating them at my friend's house many times and there were plenty because the bag was YUGE! He even had a fryer! We just drop those bad boys in the oil and we're eating nuggets in no time. And, these were very good nuggets. The frozen nuggets nowadays are fool's gold! "THEY'RE CRAP I TELL YEA! GIVE ME WEE NUG OR TEN FROM BACK IN THE DAY, WOMAN!" Now, they are all...PANKO! F*CK PANKO! "I'M TALKING TO YOU, COSTCO! HOW 'BOUT I GET A COUPLE OF MY PIPE-HITTING BUDDIES AND WE SHOW YOU WHAT I'M TALKING 'BOUT!" Take me on a time machine back to 1981 and my friend's house!
These bad boys from Costco are pretty close, just have to air fry them to make sure they are extra crispy. Pair these with some Chick Fil A sauce and you're on your way
Accredited to him are more than 40 poultry, turkey and cold cut innovations, making him the "George Washington Carver of poultry". In addition to creating the chicken nugget, he is also responsible for a revolutionary way to bind breading to chicken, co-invented the machine responsible for deboning chicken and created the chicken and turkey hot dogs and turkey ham. Hell yeah he's in the HOF
My kids swear by the natural-looking dino nuggets in the air fryer...with Chick-Fil-A bbq sauce...bought in bulk from Costco
