Career grand slam. Congrats, Djokovic. Never understood the Murray hype. The dude is terrible against the top competition, and his style is boring. His demeanor on the court is typical Groundskeeper Willie angry Scot.
He completely fell apart after the 1st. The crowd got to him. I don't get why tennis players are so mentally soft.
How can someone who just made it to the Australian Finals and the French Open Finals in the last month be called horrible against top competition. He also just beat the French Open 2015 champion Wawrinka in this year's semis. That was a good match. He also knocked out Djokavic last year. Did you guys even watch the other matches. I went ahead and finally dropped down the $80/yr for Tennis Channel Plus. Murray is fun to watch. Not seeing why you'd call him boring.
He's certainly grand slam soft, no? His incessant whining and complaining is annoying. At least McEnroe was entertaining when he did it, plus a winner.
?? Grand Slam soft? That's not right. He has lost 5 times in the Australian Finals (0-5), 4 to Djokovic, otherwise he would have a career grand slam, which very few players have accomplished. He's proven he can win everywhere. He's beaten Djokovic in both the Wimbledon Finals and the US Open Finals. I'm not getting the hate. He's fun to watch to me.
Murray has losing records against top competition like Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic. If those three are Tier 1, Murray is like Tier 1.99999. Better than Tier 2, but a whole step below those three.
Those are three of the greatest players of all time. I don't see any shame in Murray losing to them. He actually had a pretty good record against Federer when he was in his prime. He just started losing to him more recently.
