Are the European parties in opposition to these self-made candidates in the same state as the Democratic party leading up to the 2016 election? Just to remind everyone of what the Democrats (and Republicans) were going through:
Second ballot will take place on May 7th. Pretty sure every eliminated party will ask their voters now to support Macron.
Macron got the most votes? This is the 39 year old guy that is married to a woman in her mid 60s who used to be his teacher when he was 15. No lie. What 39 year old male celeb wants to be with a woman in her 60s? That right there just shows he's incapable of coherent thought.
I just read about Macron and his wife. Interesting how the French are more open-minded about this stuff.
Le Pen being extrem right, Melanchon extrem left, Fillon a fraude and Hamond having no charisma, Macron seems the best choice for all of the undecided. At least we're better off with him than Hollande...
So let me guess: A 70 year old man married to a 37 year old ex-model is perfectly fine, but a 39 year old man married to a 60-somewhat year old former teacher is not? On the other hand, we indeed talk about France, where presidents are considered boring, if they're not having an affair. At least among male voters.
Give me the dude who banged an older chick than the Nazi any day of the week. Also per Nate Silver- Obviously this would be considered a much bigger upset than Trump beating Clinton. But I'll still say that I won't be hugely surprised if LePen actually pulls it off even though I think it will be pretty carastrophic globally if Germany also votes nationalist along with Trump already looking for an excuse to destroy NATO. He just needs LePen voted in and later Merkel voted out to essentially reshape the world as we know it. This election is pretty damn huge. We will see if nationalism is a mainstay or if it will be a short lived fad.
Obama interfered with the French election to assist Macron - where's the calls for investigations and outrage??? #liberalhypocrites
How is Le Pen far right other than the medi Nate Silver who predicted Trump... oh wait... Yeah I'd say it's safe to bet on Le Pen.
You have been posting on here for more than a decade and come up with this. This is such an awful awful analogy.
Nate Silver whose analytics forecasted a 2 to 3 point lead and Hillary ended with a 3 point lead. Nate was wrong about a lot of things reg Hillary but his analytics are considered industry standard in sports and elections. You'd be a fool to say that you know more about forecasting sports or elections better than he does. If he has a forecast, it should be noted even if you think it could be wrong. That being said if you actually read my post you'd see that I actually will be (pleasantly) surprised if LePen doesn't win for the same reason I thought Trump would win even though I hated the thought. Fear wins elections. We will see what happens but it's going to be another big step in changing the world as we know it if she does.
