    I do think we as black people dont value freedom like others. We don't subscribe to the American Dream of being able to own like others.

    You can blame history

    I didn't read the context of the claim. That being said i stand behind my first post. But using that statement to defend the detention centers is kind of silly on several levels

    As many problems aa Katrina presented, sheltering in the Astrodome wasn't one. It was the initial shelter before you could get adequate housing. That's understandable.

    The first problem with Katrina was a bunch of people in the cycle of poverty being uprooted. The federal government's initial response was dismal but overall the condition of poverty of the victims was something really unique to New Orleans (there are more cities like new orleans in terms of cyclical poverty obviously).

    Kids need to quit crying here. They are getting fed, they get shelter, and they aren't being abused for the most part. That's 10x better than most stray dogs or cats. Even black people understand this and are rallying to support Trump's policy here.
