Fox 26 stopping HD to let me know I'm watching Fox 26

I thought that was pathetic on Fox 26's Part.

Right before the final outs of the ALCS, fox 26 was doing that.

sounds to me like Network is broadcasting in HD, but some of the local affiliates are not there yet. It is extremely expensive & time consuming to make the switch to HD. Essentially every piece of equipment has to be replaced. There's more to it than just a couple of cameras and a switcher.
