Yep, great trade at the time though. I, and everybody else, had really high hopes for Singleton and Cosart. Though if we use the transitive property of player acquisition, Cosart worked out great.
Well, at least if he was responsible with the money he has made in the majors he has guaranteed himself he won't have to work as a janitor again. I loved Gattis in his time here and was probably the most happy for him in 2017 winning the World Series. Just seems like a really good dude.
Where he came from, where he got to, I will always love that guy. Nobody can ever take that **** away from him.
https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/04/pitching-notes-keuchel-a-miller-cards-orioles-royals.html Not sure if it’s already posted, but DK’s asking price has officially come down, willing to do a 1y deal over the QO amount...but I don’t see that happening (in HOU, at least).
Wanna hear a cool story, bro? Just found out that the wife works with Gattis' cousins' wife. She's connected, too. So much so that she was completely unaware that he was no longer with Houston.
Teams are going to wait until they don't need to give up a draft pick or a contender will have a big arm go down and panic. Most likely scenarios at this point.
Watching 100 miles Giles trying to shut the door on the red sox. He has surprisingly excellent stats this year but even watching him playing for another team, I'm getting nervous watching him pitch. Glad he's gone
Done really well in save %, but that obviously doesn't tell the whole story. Very shaky all around. Glad he's not ours anymore. Also I like seeing the most spoiled sports city struggle (though there's still plenty of time for that to change). And, hats off to Yuli's brother for that steal of home!
Giles had men on 1B and 2B, two outs, with Betts at the plate. That was some tight rope walking right there.
https://blogs.fangraphs.com/j-d-davis-changed-approach-could-turn-him-into-a-big-time-slugger/ J.D. Davis’ Changed Approach Could Turn Him Into a Big-Time Slugger He’s slashed .280/.357/.600, with two homers, three walks, and six strikeouts. Another JDM in the making?
Giles. Moreland had a great AB, but Giles still just Giles it. RedSox tied it 6-6 in the 9th. Then Giles completely forgot about the 2 runners on, and they just stole 3rd/2nd, with 1 out.
Kenneth chocolate lava cake'd the sheets @donkeypunch (I was surprised to hear he had 34 straight saves)
Listening to the Boston announcers makes me want to claw my eyes out. Dear god go die. eta: wow, just a little chop over the drawn-in infield. Giles walked it off...
