8 man league 3rd ppick 1 ray rice 2 rob gronkowski 3 ryan Mathews 4 wes welker 5 trent Richardson 6 dez Bryant 7 demaryius Thomas 8 tony room 9 steve Johnson 10 reggie wayne 11 beanie wells 12 robert griffin III 13 coby fleener 14 dallas defense 15 stephen gostkowski im pretty happy about my team... i might trade a wr for another rb because i feel a bit thin at the position but overall im happy about my team... im pretty high on dallas defense this year... i was high on texans defense last year and that panned out so hopefully im right again... so what you guys think?
I'm about to put my money where my mouth is: in a 14 team league and I am going to draft Ryan Mathews 14th overall. Hopefully I'll be able to get Matt Stafford with the 15th pick, if not I'm probably looking at Julio Jones or AJ Green. My thinking about Mathews is this, when he is on the field Mathews is a top #1 type back, no question. And he is in a GREAT situation in SD. This league I'm playing in is 250.00 entry fee so these guys are pretty tough and no less than 7 backs are being drafted in the 1st round. What I am trying to say is that Mathews in this league is being drafted in the top of the 2nd round. By drafting him also in the second round, these guys can't double up on backs like they think they are going to do with say, Ray Rice and Mathews as the featured backs.
a 250$ league where you say they are taking no less than 7 backs, goood luck getting mathews in the second... everyone is really high on him and is rated as the 4th best rb behind the big 3...
I'd pray for Stafford and Graham then take fliers on guys like Donald Brown, BGE, Ridley, Fires Jackson, Martin... WR is deep.
My 9 year old step son drafted this team by himself. 8 team league, 7th pick. Tom Brady Jimmy Graham Andre Johnson Wes Welker Maurice Jones-Drew Fred Jackson Marques Colston Michael Turner Dwayne Bowe Kenny Britt Phillip Rivers Texans D Coby Fleener Jacquizz Rodgers Mason Crosby
WR might be deep. But to me, and I've played this game a little while, wr are the most unknown factor in fantasy unless you get a stud. Top that off with the fact that you have to play 3 wr a week. It's a sick feeling when you have to choose from darius heyward-bey and Lance Moore, or Laurent Robinson as your number 2 and 3 wr. There are maybe only 10 recievers in the league that I truly trust and so I am going wr early and often even if it means that I reach on a player.
First time drafting a team Arian Foster Andre Johnson Jimmy Graham Brandon Marshall Steven Jackson Percy Harvin Peyton Manning Matt Prater Shonn Greene Texans D Stevan Ridley Isaac Redman Greg Little Joe Flacco Dustin Keller
12th pick of a 12 team league. Brees, Brady, Rodgers and Stafford flew off the board. But I'm pretty happy with the result. A big goal was to stay away from injury risks, and I think I did ok in that regard. It's a tough league for the most part, but an absolute head-scratcher was a guy (Cowboy fan) who picked Romo with the 8th pick! Phillip Rivers Chris Johnson Trent Richardson Robert Meachum Victor Cruz Percy Harvin Jimmy Graham Eagles Shayne Graham Bench: DeAngelo Williams Lance Moore Mike Williams Daniel Thomas Ruben Randle Mike Tolbert Carson Palmer
10 teams, 6th pick. QB: Brady, Luck RB: R. Matthews, B. Wells, Gore, Helu WR: S Smith (Car), Bowe, Harvin, Amendola, T Smith (Bal) TE: Graham, Tamme D: NYG K: Hanson
You took Luck and Tamme which was completely unnecessary and thus your receiving core nees improvement. It's not a bad team but it could have been better. I doubt you'll ever consider playing Luck over Brady, so that's a waste and the same with Tamme. I think that Graham, Brady and your backs are solid and I'd give you a B- on everything else.
I think that in an 8 team league that you should have had a stronger receiving core than you have. I think that Gronk was an unnecessary luxury on this team and to pick him in the first 16 picks was a real bad idea. I also think that the Trent Richardson pick was not wise. These picks caused you to push back getting your receivers and thus you are dez bryant and Demaryius Thomas as your second and third string wr. I do like that you got Tony Romo in the 8th round, but think that RGIII is a wasted pick in the 12th. Even if you say well I'll trade him, in this league, when qbs abound, I doubt RGIII provides any real trade value.
So many people are afraid to take Michael Vick in the 5th round but have no problem taking Matt Stafford in the early second.
