The Rockets had a 100.5 defensive rating with Capela. They had a 137.1 defensive rating with Nene. And Capela and Nene never played in the same lineup.

    Wasn't even close.

It has been a very long wait for this realization to happen. Morey must be the luckiest person in the world.

The front office? No, this is all the work of Leslie Alexander.

Funny thing is that we cannot run the 7 seconds or less version MDA loved so much. Harden's version of 7 seconds or less is get the ball and just launch it underhanded to the first man down the court. We went from a clueless coach who did not believe in players getting tired to one who thinks players can be tired after one freaking half...it's going to be a long season.

should have never hired him. however im willing to give him some more time to see how the season plays out. If we're around .500 25 games into the season, then yeah.. i'll contribute to say fire him.

    I noticed this too.

What happened to Harden getting deep penetration?

Walking it up, passing it when he gets past half court and having the guy immediately shoot it wasn't the Dantoni offense I was expecting

Interesting. Definitely didn't feel that way watching the game. I remember at one point it seemed like they drove on Capela 4 possessions in a row. Some of them were difficult finishes, but they still went at him. Surprised the stats are that wide.

It definitely did feel that way; Nene might as well not have been out there.

Nene is the one with the dreads BTW.

lol, I think I recorded the game. I'm going to go back and watch, because I swear in the 2nd quarter they went at Capela over and over and he was getting torched.

We're just going to ignore his 53 wins this season, huh?

MDA can't coach players taller. Really missed Clint tonight, he's so vital to our success with his rebounding, athleticism and length on defense. Rockets really need a 3rd string 7ft big, a McGee or Bogut would of made Boban their b**** tonight. We won't face Boban again for a long time but we will potentially face Adams/Kanter/Marc/Pau/Jordan/Gobert and Clint can't play 48 minutes.

Onuaku looks like a bust, he moves his feet so damn slow. He barely made it to the 3pt line running down the court half the time, took way too long to switch, didn't clear one clean rebound. He just looks like he playing with his feet in quick sand 75% of the time.

Nanu is 12 years old though. Let's wait for his balls to drop before we start calling him busty.
