Jeff Fisher actually did something with his career before he turned into the picture of mediocrity. BOB went from mediocre to awful without any actual success.
Steve McNAir did something and Pardee built that squad. . . and Fisher simply got to roll with it for a few years and could not restock . . .. BUT . . I get your point Rocket River
I agree. BOB was handed lots of talent too (just not a QB), and so far has successfully pissed it away. Is he fired yet?
Credit where credit is due. Good game today. But his runs on 1st down is still so predictable. And annoying.
He's playing the long game. First play in the Super Bowl will be a fake handoff up the middle and then a long pass to Fuller.
Everybody talking about oh he took advantage winning division titles bcuz the division was and is so bad....have y’all not said the same thing about the patriots and that division for years.
The Jags win was the only one any fan could be satisfied with and they are down their entire offense. If youre defending BoB, its really a moot point to about 98% of us around here.
Legitimately good performance from the running game. Everything else feels like some weird mix of luck and bad opponents.
I think the whole league is pretty bad, except for just a few teams. I thought the Jags would be way better than this. I'll give credit to BOB for having the guys ready to play yesterday.
Watching the Saints and Ravens game yesterday, I couldn't help but notice how the Saints use Hill and the Ravens use Lamar Jackson. It might be too late now but the Texans could learn plays including Joe Webb. Webb could come in as a RB, receiver, or even throw the ball to throw everyone off.
That's kinda where I'm at. The AFC in particular feels like a very short, wide pyramid. Pats and Chiefs at the top. Chargers and Bengals in the middle. And everyone else in the crap pile at the bottom. The Texans play exactly zero teams the rest of their schedule that should be considered probable losses (discounting HFA) just because of how flawed they all are. I want to believe that beating Jacksonville is an accomplishment due to what they achieved last year, but man, Bortles just makes it so hard to feel good about that.
