Nobody in the NFL, have less creativity inside the 5 yd line than B'OB, how can you not be in the one inch line, and put your QB in the shotgun position.
You see, putting Watson under center is what they'd expect you to do. So putting him in shotgun instead is being creative. That's how creativity works, right?
Another? thats 2 out of 5, calm down. That's also a missed FG and zero push at goal line from the Oline.
The Red Zone, where Texan's drives go to die. Would someone do an analysis of every play call in the Red Zone last night?
- Zero push by the OL on running plays for Blue. - Watson stared down Griffin on one and threw a bit behind him on another. - Watson trying to outrun LBs to the pylon just to get completely crushed. - A horrible QB sneak from the one that was sniffed out the second Watson went under center.
Unfortunately, in the McNair's minds, he's already earned his job. They only see the end product of the sausage and not the salmonella he's filling it with.
Failing that many times from the goal line is almost comical. After the Hopkins PI in the end zone everybody around me in the stadium knew we weren't getting a TD. When it happens that often it's clearly a schematic issue, that's coaching. GTFO BOB.
All you have to do there, is put him under center, have him try a HARD count to get them offsides and run a free play, if they don't jump you kick it. DD
Amazing that BoB didn't learn that Deshaun simply wasn't going to outrun Jaylon Smith to the pylon despite nearly getting his head ripped off the first few times. Posted this in another thread but we need to run the Tebow jump pass play with Watson and Thomas/Akins, force the LB to make a decision. If they put a DB on them, that's a 4-6 inch height advantage right off the back.
