Damn, that will be a penalty. The guy had his eyes closed, what are they supposed to do, tie the hand to their backs?! Didn't it actually touch the hand of the French guy first? Sadly, Griezmann won't miss.
So is it up to the official to determine whether he touched the ball with his hand on purpose or just that it hit his hand period?
On purpose or not, his hand affected the trajectory of the ball and it'll get called. The only time it's a noncall is if the hand is held close to the body that would deflect the ball just the same. Croatia has been the better team but they're killing themselves. The first goal came off a dive by Griezmann, but it was poor defending to turn it into an OG. The second set piece was a self-conceded corner, with again poor defending resulting in a handball to PK. I hope Croatia comes back to win it.
Think it's a fair handball. You can't just make yourself big and that's what he did. But I would like to see some clean goals here. 3 goals fun. But I'd like to see them earn it.
Sounds like thunder and lighting are a thing right now over there; how much is too much is the question...
I was thinking about the "Hey" google and "Yo" google commercial. And then I'm thinking of what this guy must be thinking almost 40 years later
Look @ Suarez's handball/red card in 2010 WC; that is intent. Persic's was not but on replay it looked like a hand ball bc his arm came out from his body in the flow of the play..
You could argue Perisic dropped his hand to block the cross. It affected the play. It's worthy of the call. Now a clear intent handball like Suarez was deserving of a card.
