...which are pretty clearly within the power of the office of the president, which is why this will be swiftly overturned.

So we're left with an alternative explanation.

Oh yeah, the judge in the case is a hardcore wingnut who refers to parents of undocumented immigrants who bring their kids to the US rather than abandon them as "human traffickers" in his opinions.

Well this ruling should encourage another couple hundred thousand Latino permanent residents to become citizens so that they and their non-voting relatives can seek revenge against the Repubs in future elections.

I feel sorry for the immigrant folks who will be inconvenienced for a short time till this renegade GOP judge can be reined in, but it bodes well for the Dems in 2016 and beyond.

I'm going to enjoy bumping this after this decsion gets flushed down the toilet and Repubs get culo-whipped again by Latino voters in 2016.

Its opposed by some voters, congress, and courts like pretty much everything in this country.

Stop trying to imply it is only Obama that is trying to push this through.

He's a libertarian who believes the planet revolves around him. So if he's against it, so is everyone else.

It is Obama defying the will of a majority of voters and their representatives.

And a court recognizing he has no authority to do so, and stopping him.

You do realize you are wrong on both of your points right?

The American electorate overwhelmingly voted Obama into office twice to carry out his mandate and the President is completely within the law to do what he has done. (even Reagan and the criminal Bush did the same thing).

When did Republicans win the "majority of voters"?

    Not 2014.

Apparently the only ejections that matter are the ones Republicans win. Until then they just refuse to compromise, fillibuster, obstruct, and threaten to shut down the government whenever they don't get their way.

That doesn't sound accurate. Congress and the courts?

Maybe if Obama worked across the aisle instead of trying to "go it alone" like he did on this executive order, or like he did with his straight partisan vote Obamacare turd, he could avoid some of these pesky problems. You'd think an individual with even a modicum of intelligence would realize that after SIX YEARS. But nope, Obama's too proud to roll up his sleeves and actually put in the hard work required.

    mebbe, mebbe not

I'm pretty sure the GOP wants cheap immigrant labor available, (really, our national landscaping has never looked better)
but without providing them any benefits or voting rights. I don't think the majority party has the balls to get any reform out of committee that recognizes the reality of 11 million undocumented people. The teabaggers would take ther jerbs
