Another vote for Gulden Draak. Yeungling used to be my cheap grocery go-to beer but I've moved and they don't sell it here
Oh yeah I remember that Gulden Draak - that stuff is strong as ****. And what's the deal with Yeungling??? I completely forgot about it until I saw your post, but we used to drink a lot of that back at UF. I haven't seen it anywhere else.
I'm a UF alumn too and I also drank a lot of it there. Small world. IIRC it was only sold in Pennsylvania and Florida but I'm not sure if that's still the case.
Dos Equis Coors Light is surprisingly good. Think the same about all alcohol.. you drink for buzz, not taste. If companies could provide same "flavor" without the alcohol no one above 21 would drink it.
It's a great place, lots of tap house exclusives at the tap house, but get there early, it gets packed. I would also recommend west end tavern on pearl street. Lots of exclusive beers from all over the western US. Also have Gulden Draak on tap. One of my favorite local bars and the food is good too + 1 on this recommendation
Right now I've got A Dundee Honey brown Lager which really taste more like a Bock and at $6.99 a six pack it's pretty darn good for the price. Last night I had a Breckenridge Vanilla Porter that was decent, and a Grapevine Brewery's Sir Williams that was absolutely fantastic. It was a very smooth Brown Ale.
