    I don't know, I think it would be good for Texas to be its own country.

    I mean Texas did so well without being a US state.

    I will vote for Shami in the primary (and the general if he makes it) because of his advocacy for a moratorium on the death penalty, which is one of the few things the Governor of Texas is actually empowered to do.

    Perry isnt that popular in Texas. I wouldnt be shocked at all if he lost. He's consistently done pretty poorly in polls. (even among Republicans and conservative)
