Don't forget to set your lineups, mofos. This is the last week of the year. 5 SP/2 RP... same as before. Weeks 48, 49, 50 & 51 will be added together at the end to determine final standings.

Jent currently has a 109 point lead on me, so I don't think that my Expos have much of a chance of obtaining the three-peat. I'm not giving up yet, though!

Just think, Pimp, if you could have gotten past fadeaway last week, you would be winning the championship game 373 to 316 right now.....:p

My guys are trying to make a game of it, and have closed the gap to 19 pts total, with four games left to play. Jent has more SPs going this weekend, though, so things are still pretty grim.

Scores heading into the final weekend:

    Jent.....454
    fade.....416

    Hitmen....500
    Rollers....416

    Pythons....392
    Aliens.......393

If the Hitmen had beaten the Expos, he would have a 46 point lead for the Championship, but look at what would have been the battle for 3rd...tied, with Bob and Sam a point apart!

Good competition, everyone, and here's to an exciting finish this weekend!

    Thanks for the reminder.

OK, I'm not that mad. I can't be too disappointed putting together a team that wasn't considered to be a serious contender for the title at the beginning of the season.

I'm not sure what happened to my team in the last quarter of the season w/ 6 straight losses - following what I think was 11 straight wins at one point. It had alot to do with Garcia, Schmidt, and Mulder all going into the tank at the same time I suppose. The main thing thats keeping me ahead of Fade at this point is the ridiculous week that Vlad is putting up (at last check 48 points).

BTW, off topic, but...Finn will there be any openings in the B-ball league this year? If I pull this off, and continue my early season luck in Football, I'd hate to miss out on the chance for the triple crown. JK, just curious on your early headcount there.

And I'd like to reiterate my desire to join the Varsity League as well. I feel a lot more comfortable on the court than in the field.

I agree. Vlad has been just sick. He's been hitting pairs of homers regularly.

The Colon-Mulder match tonight will be interesting.

Not sure yet, but I think you've earned the right to join us if there is an opening. I will probably start a thread next week to get everything rolling.

Behad -- that's just wrong, man. Funny, though. :D

They will always be the 'Spos to me. :(

There's been talk that Woody Williams could be skipped this weekend and will start game 1 in the playoffs instead. If that happens and my pitchers hold their own, jent and I could be in for a close finish.

Final day of play. Overall, I have a 27 point lead, but jent has two of his best pitchers scheduled (Schmidt & Maddux) so he still has the advantage. Should be an exciting finish.

I thought I had a chance for a while there, but it looks like jent's pitchers came through. Congrats. I'll post complete results a bit later -- have a lot of school work to do tonight.

Way to go Jent. Nice victory. Triple Crown threat. We must stop you at all costs, illegal trades, whatever it takes.
