You don't need to add anything to the numbers yourselves when posting your keepers. I do all those adjustments. Keep them the same. Player numbers must be LOWER than slot number, not equal.

Champ picks last and then the rest is determined by reverse order total points. Been doing it that way for like 10+ years. Total points is a much better gauge of team quality than record, which is too luck-dependant.
