Man, people here are sounding awfully angry for us losing to the Suns man. It was a back to back, without Westbrook or Gordon. Clippers had a full squad no back to back and got blown about by the Wolves....now tell me, whats their excuse?
I don't think his D is good enough nor is his range as good as gordons….nor does he have the dribble drive skills that Gordon does. gordons a better flooer spacer, defender, and he can dribble penetrate against the weaker defender. in my eyes bmac is nothing but an eighth or nine piece in the mold of Gerald green....
While I do think the thought process is that serviceable centers are readily available but they've spent two years trying to fill the void Ariza left and haven't come close, I think it's really difficult to listen to the old "next year we're going all in" one more time.
This, but we can’t really be all in because we’ve pissed away so many assets in splashy trades that have had various degrees of “close by no cigar” failure attached to them. Morey has had some amazing moments and had kept this team relevant and winning more than 95% of all the other franchises in the NBA, but he has yet to develop a championship team, and I’m beginning to think it’s not happening during his tenure, especially with Tilman as the owner. This small ball crap isn’t a sustainable plan for the future especially if Dantoni is gone which is likely. Can’t see other coaches coming in here and signing on for that as a perquisite if being the Head Coach, unless they are a scrub or first timer which I doubt Harden and Russ would be keen on. We are gonna win some games with this system but I’d bet my life it’s not a Ship’ winner with the talent we have here now, and what we may be able to acquire next year. Every year it seems the same BS out of Morey and Tilly al smoke and mirrors
100% agree with OP. Not just next year, but the next three years. Whether it’ll be enough is to be determined, but if we bring back Austin, we’ve got Harden and Westbrook, EG, Rivers, Roco, House, Mclemore for the next while, and PJ for atleast one more year. All Morey will have to do is find the right big men and bring it back, whether it be power forwards, centres, or both. Of course Tillman may do something drastic but who knows.
This summer trade Gordon and PJ for Love (3 team deal?), sign a serviceable 5, and pray for good health.

What an excellent question. Jordan doesn't make sense here, does he, if you're claiming you don't need a slow, old-school, rim protecting big. Now, claiming they were willing to spend the money on someone like Bertans, but the draft compensation got stupid, that story I can believe.
Can't replace a world champion like ariza. Carmelo was close but Golden State had a lot to do with rockets shortcomings. 2019 game 6 against Golden State was missed chance. 2018 game 7 against Golden State was rough with Ryan anderson and Joe Johnson!
