Woo hoo!!!! After spending the past 2 years as the fantasy beat writer for the San Antonio Spurs for ESPN.com, I have been officially named the fantasy football correspondent for your Houston Texans!!!! http://games.espn.go.com/cgi/ffl/correspondents/directory [Jesse Spano]I'm so excited... I'm so excited... I'm so...[/Jesse Spano]
Thanks fellas. No, not paid. I'm doing it for exposure's sake. With bball, I was writing 2-3 x per week. With the Texans, I will try to update at least 3x per week. On Saturdays for last minute updates before a game, on Wednesdays (to report any updates in preparation for the upcoming game) and of course on Mondays to recap games.
But I did get one free fantasy team from ESPN.com So if any of you guys have a fantasy league on ESPN.com, let me know.
Dag Nabit writes for the Titans? Awesome! Congratulations, man, I hope it gives you some good exposure...on to bigger and better things in life soon! Once again, Congrats Amol Gavankar!
That's awesome. Even more awesome is your Saved By the Bell reference. I owe you a beer or three for that one.
I don't know if any of you caught this but Mike Ditka blasted the Texans on that NFL ESPN show. He said "Texans won't win more than 5 games and they are on a train headed to nowhere" Sean Sailsbury said the Texans are an 8-8 team.
If you ever have the chance, please feel free to kick Hector and Victor in the nuts repeatedly. My grandmother could predict more accurate NFL fantasy stats than those 2 jackasses. Congrats, BTW
Excellent news drapg. I hardly know you but can't help but feel happy for a fellow clutcfaner representing. Go gettum, Dude. I'll be pulling for ya
Thanks fellas! I'm actually trying to get in contact with the Texans PR dept. to see if I can get some type of menial media credentials. Who knows, with as classy an organization as the Texans, they may give a little guy a break!
That's really good man. Jerome Solomon, the lead Big XII writer for the Chronicle, is a good friend of my brother. He got his start writing for one of those local newspaper the Chronicle sends out to each neighborhood. The ones that just cover the local news in that area, and they come out once a week. He started doing high school sports for the paper we got in our area, and look how far it got him. Good luck to you.
